Tia Maria's Corner

I am fortunate enough to have an Ina Garten in the family, a Cuban version of her, my aunt Maria. She is one of the best cooks in the family, cooking is one of her passions and she enjoys sharing it with those she loves. This is why I decided to dedicate a page of the blog to her cuisine. She will be one of a few guest bloggers I will be having every so often on the blog.

Let's start with one of the meals she prepared for the family on her last visit:

Appetizer:
Salmon Rillets, made with fresh and smoked salmon, served on a bib of lettuce with a couple of slices of whole wheat thin cut toast.

Main Entree:
Cornish Game Hen with a thyme/maple reduction, almondine haricot verts and a Minnesota staple - Wild Rice with sliced almonds and sherry infused cranberries.
